1) The police gave Anwar Ibrahim until 2pm to report to the Police Station.
2) Anwar was interviewed by the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) whole morning.
3) Anwar came out from the ACA building and reached his neighbourhood around 12.55pm.
4) 15 police vehicles and police special forces in balaclavas was waiting nearby to arrest him.
5) He was arrested around 1.05pm, almost an entire hour before his deadline.
6) How is this normal, standard operating procedure? Was Anwar a serial killer? Was he trying to flee the country? Was he a terrorist?
I am now more prone to believe that there are 30 MPs waiting to crossover than ever before. Clearly the Barisan National Government is desperate beyond measure.

From the Star newspaper,
‘Strong Case’ Against Officer Over Alleged Rape
PETALING JAYA: Police have a “strong case” against a cop who allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl in a police station in Subang Jaya on June 18.
State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said the investigation report had been sent to the Deputy Public Prosecutor and Bukit Aman for further action.
“Based on our investigations, we have a strong case to charge the officer. He has been suspended since the date of arrest and would also be facing disciplinary action soon,” he said.
Khalid added that police were waiting for the victim’s medical report from the hospital .
On June 18, the girl was with her boyfriend when the policeman stopped their motorcycle at 5am.
After finding that the boyfriend did not have a licence, the policeman instructed them to go to the station where they were questioned separately.
The girl from Shah Alam was allegedly forced to undress and was threatened by the policeman that if she did not comply with his demands, he would send her boyfriend to jail.
She claimed she was forced to perform oral sex on the policeman before she was raped in the station.
After 30 minutes, the couple was released but she did not reveal the incident to her boyfriend or family members until several days later.
I am very, very angry. Absolutely incensed! Now we have policemen raping girls in police stations!
What now? Blame the girl for dressing sexily? For inviting rape?
I appeal to our lawmakers to introduce a private member bill to legislate into law mandatory crastration for:
1) Repeat offenders of rape
2) Serial rapists
3) Those who rape young children
4) Those who rape their own daughters!
Society do not need these monsters. They don’t even deserve to live, much less reproduce.

Ezam,
I watched TV3 today and saw that a large portion of news was dedicated to you. Congratulations!
I also saw your interview where you said that you want to help the Prime Minister on his reform agenda, seeing that there are some moves toward reforming the judiciary. I wish you the best of luck. I have to warn you, though, not to push too hard especially on the matter of corruption.
You see, your mentor, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, wanted to strengthen the ACA and got himself into lots of trouble. He was at that time the Acting Prime Minister. I hope, in the course of your reform struggles, you galvanise yourself with greater powers than that of an Acting Prime Minister before you start working on weeding out corruption. Six years in jail is a pretty long time. Good luck!
Yours sincerely,
Steven Foong

Please read this news piece in Malaysiakini before continuing - BMC Fracas: Police Beat Up Youth
Anwar Ibrahim, de facto leader of the opposition Pakatan Rakyat coalition, said time is on his side as far as taking over the Federal Government from Barisan National is concerned. He claimed that he has the numbers (he requires at least 30 more MPs) and will act when it’s time.
I understand the importance of strategy and timing. I really do.
But with every passing day, more Malaysians are being subjected to state-sponsored persecutions, especially those who voted for your party, Datuk Seri Anwar. The cops are beating us up. Our friends are being charged for sedition. They are cutting off fundings from those who bought into your agenda. Services paid for by our tax money have been withheld. We have taken a stand by kicking out the crooks and voting your crew in. And the crooks are savaging us as a response.
And what do you say? That time is on your side? Mr. Incoming Prime Minister, time is not on our side. Fulfill your end of the deal we made on March 8, 2008. You have pitched your case and we bought the farm. Please act now, decisively and comprehensively. We are fully behind you.
For those MPs who are still struggling, who have mistaken the concept of freedom of association for perceived ethical dilemmas about party-switching… wake up and smell the coffee. The blood of that man assaulted by the very police that’s supposed to defend him rests fully on your heads!
Sampai hari kiamat aku akan mendakwa di hadapan Yang Maha Esa bahawa darah rakyat yang tak berdosa mestilah ditanggung oleh engkau yang enggan menegakkan keadilan, engkau yang bersubahat dengan penzalim.
Ubah sebelum parah!
Ubah demi maruah!

Dr M cries foul over Lingam tape report
by Llew-Ann Phang, The Sun
SHAH ALAM (May 11, 2008): Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today alleged that the report of the Royal Commission into the Lingam tape affair, was aimed at incriminating him.
“Every attempt is made in order to incriminate me,” said Mahathir who claimed he had read extracts of the report.
“Somehow or other, they are trying to suggest that the appointment of judges was influenced by a lot of other people, and although there is no direct connection with me, if you read between the lines, it suggests that the Prime Minister is biased and things like that,” he said.
Mahathir alleged this was former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s doing as he (Anwar) had purposefully exposed the tape to undermine lawyer Datuk V.K.Lingam’s credibility.
“Lingam happens to be my lawyer. He is defending me against Anwar, and now, he (Anwar) has succeeded in making Lingam no longer credible, and therefore, he cannot defend me in the court of law,” he told reporters after taking part in a Look East Policy forum today.
“So to that point, he has achieved great success but I have always emphasised, when people make such recordings secretly, the intention is to blackmail. I’m afraid the government made successful the blackmail attempt,” he lamented.
Mahathir also alleged that Anwar, who is PKR adviser and defacto Pakatan Rakyat leader, had tampered with the evidence – the video – as he had released the tape in two parts.
“This constitutes tampering of evidence. We don’t know what he kept behind and how many small tapes he has. Of course this will be used in time to blackmail and of course the moment I say this, Anwar must be thinking ‘I must sue him for another RM100 million’.
“I can’t pay RM100 million if I’m found guilty. But if I have to go to jail, I’ll go to jail, if I’m to be made a bankrupt, I’ll be a bankrupt. That’s alright,” Mahathir said.
Dr. Mahathir is absolutely incorrigible. All of a sudden he remembered that he was not biased although when it mattered most, in the hearings of the Royal Commission, he disclaimed memory to about almost everything during the material time.
And he blames it all on Anwar Ibrahim, the spouse of the Leader of the Opposition. Just like how he blamed it all on the Jews for Malaysia’s ill-preparation (or non-preparation?) for the Asian Financial Crisis that hit our shores in 1997-1998. Has the former Prime Minister lost all sense of logic for implying that the Royal Commission was under the influence of Anwar? Has he not demonstrated that, alas, he appears to have lost all his marbles? The last I remember, Anwar was barred from even testifying in those hearings! Now it’s Anwar’s fault that the Royal Commission’s report did not defend Dr. M’s integrity? Anwar coerced the Commissioners?
Same old illogic, same old Mahathir.

Those responsible for this ill-thought out excuse for a scam called National Service ought to be struck by lightning. How many more 18 year olds should pay with their life for being drafted into a national money-making scam? What choice do families have?
I pray for the family and friends of the late Miss Too Hui Min that may God grant them strength in overcoming the grief of the senseless loss of their daughter.

I have been participating in an apologetics forum where a sub-forum specialises in a particular group that I have substantial experience in and hope to be able to continue to engage them and have fellowship.
The sub-forum consists of many ex-members and everyone will place the group well within the orthodox Christian faith but has developed some pretty dubious teachings that could be dangerous. The group is becoming increasingly exclusive and insular.
However, it seems to me that many in the forum are just all about frontal attacks. I am not even disputing the validity of some of these venoms (most are true) but rather than engaging the group, they are trying to tear it into pieces together with the born-again Christians, brothers and sisters in Christ, children of God and members of the Body of Christ who are members of this group.
But what is the point? By doing so, you are alienating them further and pushing them into being more exclusive and insular and forcing them into siege mentality. They will increasingly feel that they are under attack and pander even more to remnant theology that is almost always bad news. These are not Taylorite Brethren yet. Do not attack just for the sake of attacking. You are persecuting Christians. Engage firmly and shepherd tenderly.
